What a fantastic restaurant it is!! I have been to Ali’s restaurant about 5 times in a year. Most of the dishes are required to cook overnight, so reservations have to be made at least 24 hours in advance (very important!!). Walking in is not an option. This place is a hidden gem. Ali’s food is not just delicious but also unique, from homemade bread, Moroccan tagine, homemade juice to mint tea. It was an exceptional dinning experience I have ever had in Adelaide. Highly recommended!! Vegetarian dishes are available, too!

Went here today for lunch with some special friends! It is a Feed Me menu and we paid $60 per head. The atmosphere was very special -Amazing! Reason enough to go! The food was delicious! They cater for 4 people and upwards, but needed a couple of days notice as everything is cooked from scratch. It is scrumptious, and the aroma!!! They cater for vegans and vegetarians as well! I recommend this for highly for something, different, special and totally delicious!

I’ve travelled extensively across Morocco and this restaurant is the most authentic, genuine, home cooked and best Moroccan cuisine that I’ve had out of the control! It’s a real experience from making a booking via text, to having dishes just brought to you without ordering or transferring money to pay. Ali is a gracious host and he and his wife prepare everything fresh in the kitchen including delicious apple and carrot juice. We had such a nice night - lovely!

Overall, an amazing experience eating at Sahara Moroccan Casbah! Things to note: You must book 24 hours in advance - if you arrive with no booking, Ali (the owner) will give you his business card and politely ask that you make a booking another day. The reason for this is because he makes everything FRESH on the day! At time of booking ensure to mention any dietary requirements. Ali provides a set menu - no menus are given nor are you specifically told what you will be eating (tbh this was so fun and loved being surprised!) It includes soup, entree, fresh juice, main, sides, dessert, and tea. Portion sizes are generous - you will be full after I promise you! The full meal costs around $60 per person (not including any additional drinks). Parking is ample and there are no time limits after 6 pm on Sturt Street. It truely is an experience eating here, so please come with an open mind, heart, and stomach. It’s as authentic as it gets.

One of the best food experiences I’ve ever had. A great traditional Moroccan experience! Ali was such a welcoming host, had great stories to tell and amazing food. He’s created such a great atmosphere - felt like I was in the heart of Morocco. A definite must-visit when in Adelaide, will come again next time I’m in the city! 10/10 service, food and experience

If I had 10 stars I'd give them all to the owner/chef Ali and his wife! Such an unique dining experience that we firstly waited in the retail store then went through a secret hallway to the dining area. As I laid my eyes on all the exotic beautiful decor, I felt like travelling to Morocco already. Fantastic dining experience plus authentic and delicious food. Ali is such a warm nice guy. Highly recommend

Delicious food and great service! It is a unique experience and I highly recommend for something different. We took our almost 2 year old daughter as well and she loved trying the different food. It is reservation only and you need to book in advance.

Wonderful find! Booked for a lunch and Ali was incredibly welcoming, showed us around the shop, served us delicious food! The food is superb- made by Ali and his wife, great portions and I wished I could eat it all as it was . Loved the warm green tea + mint tea at the end. What a great way to finish off the meal. Will be coming back with friends and family.
